Lord Adaneshwar

Whenever the Godhead descends on the earth, He always chooses a new Name, Form, Field and Place of his liking.

Saints are born in all Periods, but the origin of the divine essence incarnates only once after several epochs have elapsed. The eclipse of blaspheme has clasped the earth and entire universe has become gloomy. Hence, the Supreme soul had to advent on earth in the form of Lord Shri Adaneshwar





Biography

Please note that Dadaji is Adaneshwar, and Adaneshwar is Dadaji. One is form and the other formless. Both are one and the same.
It was a sacred Sunday on 8th day of August in 1914. On this day the Godhead descended on earth in the form of Dadaji. Dadaji appeared in a tiny hamlet called Kochi situated on the bank of Chalmili River. Kochi is in Sakoli Tehseel of Bhandara district in Maharashra. Radha Bai is the mother and Dhonduji Tondre is the father. The entire world will always be indebted to this divine couple. Dadaji first appeared at Ukanda (compost pit). As per the custom prevalent at that time Dadaji was named as Ukand Rao. Significance of this name is discussed at great length in " Mee Pahilele Dadaji " written by Dada .
At the age of 15 months Dadaji’s father along with infant Dadaji moved to his sister’s place at Anji Narsimh. This movement of Dadaji was for the propitiation of the designed assignment. Here in this Village of reverent Renuka aunt Dadaji had the blissful sight of Lord Shri Khateshwar. And from then onwards Dadaji continued to stay in the company of Shri khateshwar. Shri Khateshwar of Jodmoha is the Lord apostle of Dadaji. Dadaji also dwelt at Jodmoha for the sake of company of Shri Khateshwar. Both used to visit Yeotmal often. At such a nascent age Dadaji shepherded the cows of Shri khateshwar for 3 years. Dadaji had to endure lot of physical labor and pain but he stood firm. Shri Khateshwar took test of Dadaji in every possible way. Dadaji has gone for many days without food and sleep. When sleep became uncontrollable Dadaji put the sleep asleep. Ultimately after recognizing the authority of Dadaji Lord Khateshwar said the following. This body is worn now. I have been looking for you to carry on with the mission to uplift the world. You are 'the unborn', the origin of the universe and the source of bliss and peace. You will be known as 'Adaneshwar'. Now take charge of the world. Shri Khateshwar divinised Dadaji in the knowledge of self and made Dadaji Adaneshwar and became himself Adaneshwar.

At the age of ten Dadaji moved to Amravati to start off the assignment. We worship Shankar in the Sanctum Sanctorum and pray him to bless us with his sight. But if Lord Shankar comes to oblige your wish how are we going to recognize him. That needs knowledge and Sadguru's benedictions. When Dadaji moved to Amravati none understood his authority. Dadaji gowned himself in simplicity and moved in all stratas of the society. He always veiled his authority. Innumerable are the marvels performed by Dadaji during this time and there are thousands of devotees who witnessed them. When Shri Gadge Baba visited Dadaji, Baba asked Dadaji, ' give me such a Tea that will never be available to anyone else to taste '. By hearing this, Dadaji took some ash and poured it in to cups and offered the same to Baba and his disciples. In a moment the ash got converted to tea. When consumed every one experienced different taste and flavor. Only the potter of the universe knows this alchemy. Different colors, tastes, scents and forms are but articulations of the same soil.
Dadaji performed marvels to awaken the society. And to show the common man how to conduct the family life he himself followed married life. Dadaji's wife is lovingly known as 'AAI' (mother) in the devotee community. Dadaji has one son (Nandu) and one daughter (Shanta). Originally Dadaji had two sons. Here is the cause why Dadaji’s first son, Datta, left this world. When Dadaji was about to start for Baitul to visit Shekh Taaj’s house, a message from Dadaji’s wife was received in which she expressed her desire to go to the parent’s town on the occasion her brother’s marriage. Dadaji sent a message asking her not to go, to avoid falling prey to the disaster. But the wife’s mind got spelled in illusion and she went to her parents with the child. As Dadaji forewarned, Datta’s sickness got aggravated and finally his soul departed. Dadaji is no respecter of differences. Dadaji told every one " Whatever is dear to everybody is dear to time. What is dear to me, that itself carries to the state of deliverance".

By seeing the authority of Dadaji devotees desired let Dadaji stay at one place. And hence for some years Dadaji stayed at Macchisath. Shankar Borikar, a resident of Sharad hamlet of Yavatmal district is a very loyal disciple of Dadaji and a long time companion. One evening Shankar Borikar and other devotees were present at Macchisath math for evening Aarti . As the time of Aarti approached devotees started searching for match box to light the Pastil but to no avail. There was a burning earthen lamp at a distance from where the patil was tucked. As devotees watched in astonishment, the flame of the lamp started to float and move in space towards the Pastil. The Earthen lamp was extinguished. But every body could see the flame travel in the space and meet with the Pastil. The scent of lit pastil diffused all around for every body's amazement. This was not a pass time show of leisure hours but was the first hand demonstration of the real mode of life spark, leaving one body and entering another. During the Dadaji's stay at Macchisath many were absolved of their ailments and many miracles were performed. From that time the holy name of Lord Shri Adaneshwar came to light. After Dadaji left Macchisath Dadaji used to visit places. Nobody used to have accurate information as regards to Dadaji's whereabouts. When he will visit which devotee and in which town or city or village was anybody's guess. Whenever devotees meet each other they used to curiously enquire about Dadaji's whereabouts. In 1969, for the first time Dada Palsodkar happened to visit Dadaji, so was it designed by Dadaji. Since 1969 Dadaji stayed at the residence of Dada and since then became more accessible to devotees. Poojya Niloma Taai is the daughter of Dada Palsodkar. As she was chosen by Dadaji to be part of the assignment, Taai has sacrificed her life for the same and has lived in the company of Dadaji since 1972. She also used to accompany Dadaji during Dadaji's visits to devotees living in other towns and villages. As devotee community grew by leaps and bounds and people from distant places started coming to Dadaji, In 1972 for the benefit of mankind Lord Adaneshwar Samsthan came in to being at Yashodanagar, Amravati.

Origin is Adaneshwar. His medium is Lord Maheswar. Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shankar are him images.
Dadaji observed absolute silence since 1972. Then onwards to communicate with devotees, Dadaji used to write on the slate by pencil and then used to ask Taai or any other knowledgeable devotee to read it loudly for the benefit of all. Dadaji recalled the dead to life, took the travelers across the river by making stones float, Turned lizard into Pedhas, got the wish yielding cow sighted on Neem tree which unleashed her udders to bless the pilgrims with fresh cow milk at Koteshwar , made the trains stop till he boarded the train, appeared at the same time in person at more than one place on more than one occasion. Body is an instrument to gain transcendental wealth . Hence by curing the bodily ailments Dadaji has given new lease of life to many. Leprosy patients, TB patients, Patients of Anemia, Aphtae, Scab, Menorhagia were liberated from their miseries. Bhogas like Diabetes, Cancer, Ulcer were removed by his mercy. Many were blessed with offspring, with eyes and limbs. But the inner experiences of spiritual awakening, spiritual progress, spiritual development, dispelling of ignorance, gift of purified intellect, taste of deep tranquility, peace and serene satisfaction can not be put on paper but can only be gained through Sadguru devotion. From around October of 1986 Dadaji gave hints about his intention to become formless. Some hints were obvious and some not so obvious. But it was Sadguru’s marvel again that nobody got the clue of what’s coming. The details of Dadaji’s Samadhi can be found in the 15th chapter of "Adaneshwar Mahatmya Grantha". On 15 th January 1987 at 3.40 PM the Supreme Lord, the real wirepuller of life and death became one with his Nirgun Shiva Swaroop.
