SADGURU probably the most commonly used word in Hindu philosophical world but probably the least understood. These days attaching the prefixes like Sadguru or Swami etc. or the suffixes like Maharaj etc. have become fashion. People have made even Pandharinath a 'Maharaj'. Dadaji once said ' You determine what I am. he said further. There have been lot of hospitals, But alas , there is no sign of genuine Doctor. The nurses and the compounders are giving medicine on their own as they wish. People, due to ignorance, are deceived by the outwardly show of these compounders and are mistaking them for Doctor. Even when the Genuine Doctor has come to help, People are unable to recognize him. The Analogy is as follows. Compounder/ Nurses mean Pujaris and so called Swamis with bookish knowledge. Doctor means Sadguru. Hospital means the place of worship.
And on one occasion this is what Dadaji said about SADGURU devotion. This is not for every one.
This is the shop of diamonds and pearls of most expensive kind. Only the deserving will come here.
The one whose goods are of inferior quality or when some body else can also deliver the same goods then he needs to advertise.
Or the one who wants to gain name and fame need to advertise. Dadaji has nothing to gain and nothing to achieve.
River will not change its course. It's the thirsty who has go to river and has to bend to drink the water.
Sadguru means The supreme Lord in form,
Lord Shiva himself,
The origin of the Divine essence,
the dot in the letter OM.
The purpose of Sevashram is to enlighten the masses about the glory of Sadguru, to awaken them to the prowess of Saduguru devotion.
To help people understand the purpose of the precious gift of human birth that has been bestowed up on them by the Lord, which is
to know one's true self. Sevashram is trying to spread across the message of true Sadguru devotion. Devotion does not mean performing
rites and rituals. Faith does not mean tradition. By going to temple, by participating in the prayer ceremony, by singing bhajans,
by Chanting the name of the Lord and by remembering the Lord one may attain the grace of the Lord. Sadguru grants our whishes depending
on our faith and devotion and takes care of our needs for this world. The main question is what is that we are asking for.
In Sadguru devotion you get what you ask for. Do not resort to Sadguru devotion as a means to achieve material benefits.
Ask the Lord for the gift of purified intellect, which once you have it, will never need to ask for any thing else.
